MDS

MDS antenna used at Editorial office at Courts
AAPCS Multiple Distributed Service (MDS) indoor antenna and downconvertor inside a perspex box. The unit was used at Editorial Magistate Courts office.

AAPCS Third Party Maintenance

AAPCS was involved in selling hardware solutions, maintenance of computer, printers and network systems. The company had contracts with the Hine group, Warwick council and BP and many others with the National contracts. AAPCS were also repair agents for Amstrad,Compaq and AST.

Microwave Maintenance

With the acquistion of the McConnell Dowell Nichols group, AAPCS was involved with Santos gas pipe line with the maintenance of the communications from Monnee fields to the west of Brisbane. They also put in links for Warwick and Redcliffe Councils as well as Suncorp Metway. AAPCS also won the tender to do Vodafone links. This was the start of todays successful section AAPCS Radio Branch.

PABX

AAPCS through the acquistion of McConnell Dowel Nichols was able to build a telephone/PABX division. This company was a sold off and is now known as Newscom in Brisbane and is owned by Steve Barlow (ex AAPCS technician).

AAPCS - Octel - Active Voice

AAPCS was leading company in the introduction voice mail to Australian business. AAPCS installed and maintained the OCTel system and Active Voice. Equipment was installed at the University of Qld, Golden Casket and other Governmnet sites in Australia.

Banking services

AAPCS has for many years been involved with the Banking industry (NAB and Westpac) started winning a tender for office fit outs (communication cabling) and then onto commissioning ATMs.
