Notes on the job.
To be able to work on the cabinets you need to remove all the front doors and sides. You need a strong torch. Use of a wooden ladder proped against the filing cabinets, to get access to the patch panels. Move slightly the cabinets on their rollers to get to the Hyband frame or to open the back doors. Careful to remember the inter cabinet cabling.
There is no telephone in the room and you have to go to entrance to get the Mobile to work. Poor lighting.
First floor is a lot easier to work on, open and accessible. Telephone next to cabinet. To check the back wiring need ladder as the cable to patch panels feeds off to the roof space. The server is sitting on the floor. Also found that the 4 inter floor cables were not marked on the patch fields. Inter floor cables marked on A frame. No records in the Krone book on the ground floor or on the first floor. Schematics of the floors all out of date.
