Covid-19 the distrupter has meant, that our lives have changed a little from the old routine.
We are truly fortunate to live in 4017 area. A must is to try to make every day a great day.
Most morning I meet with friends - Tony and/or Bart.
The object is to get some exercise while we go hunting for a Coffee shop.
We have found Sandgate foreshore as a great starting point (one of the most beautiful areas).
Our routine is to rise early, meet along the foreshore by 0615. We try to get together twice per week.
Our rides take us along the many bike paths, over bridges, along bush tracks and at the same time we discuss multi topics and organise social activity.
The challenges we face are thing like strength and direction of the winds, weather conditions
( to decide whether we ride along the shoreline, in the back streets or over the bridge),
but notability which coffee shops to visit.
We have been able to visit different parts of Postcode 4017 and the Woody Point.
Hoping one day to make it to Redcliffe for swim at the Lagoon.(Known localy as "Petes Puddle")
During our rides I try to capture via my mobile phone camera, the changing scenes of the foreshore,
the developments happening in the district and some unique locations.
The unknown eg:- Memorial plots at Cabbage Creek boat ramps, Moora Park or the 4 different dog parks around Postcode 4017.
My bike was supplied by another friend "Darcy" who acquired the frame and parts from the curb-side throw out. The bike is a "Dunlop Warrior".
You really don't need the racing or mountain bike to ride along the foreshore on the bike paths or through the bush areas of the Third Lagoon and Deagon wetlands.
I have to say thanks to you all for having the council make these paths available.
This web site is laid out in months so we start from May last year.
You may have similar pictures but there is always a change.
Mostly we start on the corner where the once old Baptist Church is.
We hope you are encouraged to try it yourself.
Please enjoy and I would also like to thank Rod for his initial assistance in encouraging me to take us this past time.
His with tips, mechanical assistance and by supplying heart rate/pulse reader.
Fun item seeing how the pulse races going up the steep hills around the foreshore.
