AAP CS purchase of McConnell Dowel Nichols, a company involved in remote communications was part of the AAP group
move in building the infostructure and expertise for the formation of AAPT.

The staff and equipment were relocated from Underwood so that they could work in conjunction with the pilot signal from large
satellite dish at QNP.
The teams of personnel located here looked after the Skyswitch system, microwave systems for Santos, Remote radio communications, MDS and Third Party Maintenance.

These dishes were being moved to staging posistions for communication for a car race across Australia.

Australian Army rented this system while on exercises in central Australia.
Toyota used to pull and carry personnel across Australia
This old truck was used to pull equipment and carried the cabling cabinets etc to mine sites across the top of Australia.
The teams had to instal the Satellite equipment as well as install the telephone systems. Sites visited were at Croydon and Cairns.

Multiple Distrubuted Systems (MDS)

AAPCS was involved with the delivery of high speed services via MDS.
The signal was transmitted from the MLC building on the corner of George and Adelaide St, Brisbane at a frequency of 3 G Hertz.
Technican travelled around Brisbane installing gridpack antenna, down converters and structure cabling depending on what service was going top be used.
The equipment was installed on premises as far Petrie to the North, Springwood to the South and Ipswich to the West.
