Network House is no longer known by its origional name, having been "St George Bank" headquarters since then.
The old Brisbane Stockexchange was located on the ground floor.
The exchange had an observation deck at the back where the public could view the trading board as well as a Translux ticker.
On the floor of the exchange were 3 parrallel rows of cubicals at which the broker's representives would use telephone to contact their offices to take orders.
The cubical also had the AAP-Reuters Videomaster screens.
AAP had over the years, offices on the 7th and 15th floors.
Company news was also collected by the staff and then retyped onto telix machines for transmission to the AAP wires.
Staff would have go down to the trading floor and input stock information electronically.
This service was also collected from other states around Australia.
The Stockbrokers were then able to get the electronic information from the other states as well as Queensland to trade with.
